  • Rules of Conduct on Ski Slopes and Routes

3.1.The choice of route must correspond to each individual’s skiing experience and physical readiness.

3.2. A ski slope is a designated and prepared path on a mountain slope for skiing, snowboarding, and other alpine skiing activities. It has clearly marked boundaries and is equipped with a navigation system to ensure the safety and comfort of individuals on the slope. The Resort features four types of ski slopes, classified by their difficulty levels and marked with the following colors:

  • Green: Easy route
  • Blue: Intermediate difficulty route
  • Red: High difficulty route
  • Black: Maximum difficulty route

3.3. While on the slope or in motion, skiers or snowboarders must strictly adhere to the designated markings and signs and comply with the instructions and requirements of the Resort staff, including rescuers and patrol officers. Any deviation from the established rules of the Resort or ignoring the information provided on signs places full responsibility for their own safety on the skier or snowboarder.

3.4. Skiers or snowboarders must conduct themselves in a manner that does not disturb, endanger, or harm others.

3.5. Except in cases of extreme necessity, skiers or snowboarders should avoid stopping in narrow sections of the slope or areas with limited visibility. If a skier or snowboarder falls in such areas, they must promptly move to clear the slope as quickly as possible.

3.6. Skiers and snowboarders must carefully select their direction of movement to ensure the safety of others on the slope. Skiers or snowboarders in the lower section of the slope have the right of way. Those descending from the upper section must maintain sufficient distance to allow safe passage for those below. According to commonly accepted rules, in the event of a collision, the skier or snowboarder moving from above is deemed responsible.

3.7. The speed difference between individuals on the slopes must remain within reasonable limits to ensure overall safety and comfort. The fastest skier’s speed must not exceed that of the slowest skier to the extent that it compromises safety or creates inconvenience for other users. Skiers must adjust their speed based on slope traffic, the characteristics of their equipment, and road and weather conditions. Specifically, they must consider surface conditions, visibility, and surrounding circumstances. Skiers are required to maintain a speed that allows full control and ensures safe use of the slope in compliance with the rules.

3.8. Skiers or snowboarders may overtake others from above, below, the right, or the left, provided they leave enough space for the overtaken person to make any voluntary or involuntary movements. The same rule applies when bypassing stationary skiers, snowboarders, or pedestrians.

3.9. Before entering the slope or starting their movement, skiers or snowboarders must carefully observe the slope in both upward and downward directions to ensure their movement is safe and does not create hazardous situations for others.

3.10. Descending the slopes is permitted only for individuals using skis or snowboards. Skiers or snowboarders who find themselves in a situation requiring them to stop their descent (due to physical limitations, equipment malfunctions, or other reasons) may move upward or downward without skis or snowboards, provided they stay as close as possible to the outer edge of the slope.

3.11. For safety purposes, the use of helmets and other protective equipment is mandatory while on the slope or engaging in skiing or snowboarding. Skiing without protective equipment is strictly prohibited within the Resort territory.

3.11.1. When renting equipment, an XS-sized children’s helmet is provided free of charge.

3.11.2. Areas outside the prepared routes and sections between the routes are not equipped with protective structures, lack markings, and are not subject to patrol oversight. Such areas may present avalanche risks and do not feature markings or signs indicating rocky formations. Individuals engaging in skiing or snowboarding in these areas bear full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of those around them.

3.12. The use of unmarked and unprepared routes not designated for skiing is strictly prohibited.

  • The following prohibitions are strictly enforced on ski slopes:
  • Ascending with skis, snowboards, or other alpine skiing equipment is only permitted on specifically prepared slopes marked with appropriate signage.
  • Entry to the slopes under the influence of alcohol or narcotics is prohibited.
  • Aggressive skating or any behavior that creates a threat to others is prohibited.
  • Being present on the slopes without skis or a snowboard is prohibited, except for Resort staff or other individuals authorized by the Resort administration.
  • The use of any equipment or objects for descending, other than skis or snowboards, is only allowed in specially designated areas of the slopes intended for such purposes.
  • Providing services or performing activities not approved by the Resort administration is prohibited.

3.13. The responsibility to report an accident and provide first aid to the injured party rests with the witness and/or participant of the accident. The incident must be immediately reported to the Resort’s rescue service by using the appropriate emergency contact number. Until the Resort rescue service specialists arrive, the witness or participant must remain at the scene and assist the injured party to the best of their ability.

3.14. If skiers or snowboarders witness an accident, regardless of their level of involvement, they must exchange contact information, including phone numbers, names, and addresses. Additionally, this contact information must be provided to the Resort’s rescue service at the following number: +374 012 71 77 17.

If the notification is sent after this period, the amount paid for the order is non-refundable.

4.4.2. For cancellations of paid orders for ski lift access, a refund is allowed only if the order is canceled before the date of use (for date-specific orders) or before the expiration of the validity period of the ski pass granting access to the ski lifts. In all other cases, no refund will be issued.

4.4.3. For cancellations of hotel bookings, refunds are allowed in accordance with the timelines specified in the notification received.

5.3. When purchasing a ski pass, the Organizer reserves the right to photograph the Client at the Resort’s ticket office during the purchase/issuance of the ski pass and register the photograph on the ski pass. During passage through turnstiles, the Organizer is authorized to photograph the Client to conduct comparative analysis for verification purposes.

5.4. Individuals who use services requiring a ski pass without possessing a valid ski pass or by using another person’s ski pass, as well as individuals who transfer their ski pass to others, lose their ski pass, or violate this article, the Regulation, other rules applicable within the Resort—including but not limited to rental rules, terms of the Resort’s ski school courses, ski slope rules—or provisions established by other normative acts, shall forfeit the right to access the respective services without any compensation. The ski pass in use will be deactivated and nullified.

5.5. In cases where falsified documents are used to obtain ski passes, or falsified ski passes and/or other unlawful acts are discovered, the relevant information will be forwarded to law enforcement authorities to hold individuals suspected of committing the alleged violation accountable in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.

5.6. Lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged ski passes can only be replaced upon payment of an additional fee. The new ski pass will be issued with the same validity period as the original ski pass being replaced.

A “Passenger” is any Client using the Lift services.

6.1.1. Access to the Resort’s gondolas and/or other ski lifts (collectively referred to as “ski lifts”) requires a single-use or multi-use ski pass.

6.2. 6.2.2. Each passenger independently decides and takes responsibility for evaluating their own and their companions’ (including children and individuals with special needs) ability to safely use the Lift.

6.2.3. The Organizer reserves the right to restrict a passenger’s access to the Lift if the passenger violates this Regulation.

6.2.4. By using the Lift and purchasing a ski pass for this purpose, the passenger agrees that they are fully informed about this Regulation and its provisions and undertakes to strictly comply with them.

Before purchasing a ski pass for transportation via the Lift, passengers with special needs or limited abilities, and/or their companions, must inform Resort staff about any physical limitations and the potential need for additional assistance. If using special equipment (e.g., wheelchairs or sports equipment for individuals with limited abilities), such equipment must be inspected and approved by Resort staff.

6.9. Children under the age of 14 may use the Lift either with adult supervision or independently.
